Professor Alison Preston, The University of Western Australia

Professor Alison Preston is a leading economist at the Business School of The University of Western Australia, specialising in labour economics and industrial relations. Her research explores gendered aspects of the labour market, employment, and economic security. Her current work focuses on four key areas: financial literacy, wage determination, retirement incomes, and the experiences of older workers.

Professor Preston recently served, alongside Emeritus Professor Mark Bray, on the Independent Review Panel for the Review of the Secure Jobs, Better Pay Act. She is an Associate Editor of the Industrial Relations Journal and serves on the Editorial Board of The Economic Record.
